What does “sorry” means anyway? A request of apology? Expressing Sympathy?

This is really bothers me a lot! I think sorry means that you do something wrong, wants apology, and (this is important) trying not to repeat the same mistake over again. But some people forget that last important thing! People do the same mistake, over, over, and over again!

Please!! At least show me that you’re trying not to repeat the same mistake, but it seems like you’re really enjoy doing it…
